How to pair the SONR receiver with the radio transmitter on a private channel

Modified on Tue, 16 Sep at 3:19 PM

The SONR Receiver can be paired with the Radio Transmitter on private channels (2-6). This allows a swimmer to receive instructions without interference from other users on the default channel.

Step 1 Check the Receiver Status

  • Turn on the SONR Receiver.

  • Triple press (•••) the button on the receiver.

  • The LED will start blinking, showing the current channel number.

Step 2 Change the Private Channel

  1. On the Radio Transmitter, rotate the large dial (B) to select a desired channel (between 2 and 6).

  2. Keep the SONR Receiver close to (but not touching) the Radio Transmitter.

  3. On the transmitter, press and hold the Talk button.

  4. While holding, triple press (•••) the button on the receiver.

The receiver will now blink the new channel number to confirm successful pairing.

Important Notes

  • When the receiver is turned off, the private channel will reset to the default Channel 2.

  • If multiple receivers need pairing, repeat the process for each one individually.

  • For best performance, always ensure both devices have sufficient battery charge before pairing.
