Can you listen to music underwater while doing Artistic Swimming?

Modified on Tue, 16 Sep at 3:30 PM

We have several teams that use our SONR communication system to combine real-time coaching instructions with music playback during routines.

How It Works

  • The coach can use the VOX (Voice Activated Transmission) function on the SONR Radio.

  • Place a phone (or music source) with music close to the radio transmitter.

  • The VOX function will transmit both the music and the coach’s voice to the swimmers wearing SONR Receivers.

Important Considerations

  • Battery Life: Using VOX continuously will reduce the radio’s battery life to approximately 1 - 1.5 hours.

  • Performance Varies: Each artistic swimming setup is unique (pool depth, number of swimmers, environment). Results may vary depending on your conditions.

Our Recommendation

We suggest starting with a Dual Receiver Pack to test SONR in your specific artistic swimming environment. This will help determine if the device meets your needs at the required depth and with your training routine.
